Present Perfect Tense
Definition
The Present Perfect tense connects the past to the present. It describes actions that happened at an unspecified time, have just finished, or have a result that affects the present.
Formula
Subject + have/has + past participle
Key Rules
1. Use for experiences without a specific time: I have visited Paris.
2. Use for recently completed actions: She has just finished her meal.
3. Use for actions continuing from the past to now: I have lived here for five years.
4. Use ‘have’ with I/you/we/they; ‘has’ with he/she/it.
